Once part of a bustling mining town connected by the Marietta & Cincinnati Railroad, the tunnel witnessed tragic accidents, deadly train collisions, and the slow disappearance of an entire community.

But according to local legend... not everyone left. This week, we're exploring the documented history of Moonville, the fatal 1880 railroad collision that may have sparked its most famous ghost story, and the eerie reports that have persisted for more than a century.
