The Stanley Hotel: All Ghosts and No Play

High in the mountains of Estes Park, Colorado, sits one of America's most infamous haunted hotels. The Stanley Hotel may be best known as the inspiration behind Stephen King's The Shining, but its ghosts have created a reputation all their own.

This week, we're checking into Room 217. We’ll explore the Stanley's history, its connection to Stephen King, how this hotel made its way into pop culture, and the paranormal activity reported throughout the property. From phantom children and mysterious piano music to helpful housekeepers and one very affectionate cowboy, this place has plenty of spirits with zero intentions of checking out.
